Calgary (June 3)
The Cannabis Society went on a short Western Canada run in early June, kicking off with an Investor Conference in Calgary, Alberta.
The Cannabis Society is dedicated to fostering the cannabis community through events, such as our business conferences. The purpose of this event was to create a unique deal making session and to hear from industry experts, entrepreneurs, investors and service providers on what is to come in this emerging industry.
Bill Hennessey, CEO of The Cannabis Society opened the conference, followed by opening remarks from Alexander Wihak from the City of Calgary. Wihak spoke on Calgary’s new initiative, Point Trotter Industrial Park. The park is the ideal ecosystem for a cannabis hub to spark innovation, build knowledge, and unlock opportunities for collaboration.
