The Cannabis Society has built a deal making conference platform for high growth cannabis founders/C-Suite executives, investors and service providers to transact. We recently hosted a sold-out Invite Only Cannabis Business Conference on Tuesday, February 19th at One Penn Plaza in NYC.
The conference, in partnership with Zuber, Lawler, & Del Luca and WVC Holdings Inc., featured multiple speakers and cannabis entrepreneurs sharing valuable industry insights. Along with two keynotes, there were a series of panel discussions covering relevant topics including sources of capital, CBD & Hemp, and product innovation.
“The challenges are the opportunities.”
This statement came from our first keynote Tom Zuber, Founder and Managing Partner of Zuber Lawler & Del Duca LLP. Mr. Zuber is at the cutting edge of cannabis patent and trademark law. He has advised some of the most iconic companies in the world on their patent and trademark portfolios. He holds a law degree from Columbia Law School, a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Harvard University, and a biomedical engineering degree from Rutgers.
Zuber Lawler & Del Duca LLP has offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Silicon Valley. The Cannabis Society will be hosting our [Invite Only] Cannabis Business Conference at Zuber Lawler’s Los Angeles office this coming Monday, March 25th. Register here for the event.
The second keynote was given by Paul Hennessey of WVC Holdings Inc., and Chief Business Development Officer of Contract Pharmacal Corporation. Paul has decades of experience, working with many world renowned healthcare brands and leads the strategic direction and business integration of CPC and its many partners.
CPC, founded in 1971, is a contract development and manufacturing organization focused on OTC and Rx drug products as well as nutraceuticals. CPC maintains strong relationships with hundreds of customers globally and has commercialized more than five thousand products worldwide. It comes as no surprise CPC would eventually eye hemp as the next major health and wellness ingredient.
Paul’s informative keynote touched on navigating the compliance requirements of retail products and gave us a detailed overview of WVC Holdings Inc. current products and investments.
